Craft in the Bay delivers a wide range of creative courses in specialist craft areas that are suitable for the complete novice or those with some prior experience.
Courses normally run for 1 to 3 days and places are limited to a maximum of 8 so early booking is advisable.
The courses are delivered by professional artists and take place in our workshop areas at Craft in the Bay..

| Fusing in Glass |

Glass, wire and pigments layered to create abstract patterns and shapes in the kiln. A popular technique used to create pendants, wall pieces, bowls and sculpture.

A great opportunity to pick up skills in clay modelling, mould making and creating a concrete 3D cast. The completed gargoyles will be weather-proof and ideal for an artistic feature in your garden.

Make a felt base using a selection of natural fibres which can be incorporated into fleece in order to create an interesting textural tactile background. Learn how to create prints and colour transfer from leaves, petals and other plant matter using a direct contact technique in the natural dye process.
Over the two days you will learn how to nuno-felt and experience the eco-colour process in which you have the choice to create a scarft, a wall hanging or an abstract design for a bag or cushion. |
