Anne Woods, originally from Northern Ireland, has lived in Wales since the late 1970's.
Trained as a designer of printed textiles at Belfast College of Art and later as an art teacher at Leicester College of Art, she has taught secondary school children, moving to adult teaching on coming to Wales. Anne taught in Adult Education in Cardiff until the mid 90's.
Throughout her career, Anne has been designing and making embroidered pieces using a wide range of approaches. Her work has been shown in numerous venues and is included in private collections in Britain, Ireland, Europe, the United States and Japan.
A founder member of the Makers Guild in Wales, her work is on permanent display at Craft in the Bay, Cardiff and at Oriel Makers, Cardiff.
