'Drawing, Permanence & Place' is an exhibition that brings together artists working in the medium of contemporary enamel, who share a passion for drawing as a means to convey ideas and concepts. It investigates the relationship between drawing and the enamelled object and focusses on ideas of space, place and permanence. The aim is to explore notions of drawing and recording, drawing and thinking and how drawing supports creativity and the emergence of ideas while making. It considers drawing as a means to express conceptual intent rather than as preparation or sketch. Drawing offers the opportunity to tell stories, to be message, metaphor, analogy.
