She remained in London working for internationally respected jeweller Mah Rana and for Contemporary Applied Arts. In 1999 she moved back to Wales and established a workshop in Monmouthshire.
“I intend for my jewellery to intrigue the wearer and the onlooker. Movement and layering are themes that I often explore. I am always keen for my jewellery to ‘do things’ not just to look good. In my ‘cut out’ range I draw with a saw depicting childhood memories and mundane household chores”.
Deborah works to commission on silver, gold and precious stones and particularly enjoys designing and making wedding and engagement rings. Alternatively couples can make their partner’s wedding rings on courses run at her workshop near Usk.
