Mark Horrocks designs and makes contemporary furniture, to commission and for sale. He works mainly in native hardwoods such as ash, oak, elm, holly, sycamore, walnut and fruitwoods.
Most of his pieces are one-offs, designed specifically to reflect each commission. The majority of work is domestic, though corporate and ecclesiastical commissions figure in the portfolio. In the Cardiff area there are three contemporary altars, for different denominations and some work in a Synagogue.
Commissioning contemporary furniture is a stimulating experience, resulting in bespoke possessions of such quality that they will serve many generations to eventually become the antiques of the future
