My work, using all natural fibres, ranges from heavy floor rugs, through furnishings, cushions and fabrics to the finest lambswool shawls and silk scarves. I also make tapestries and wall hangings.
I have a strong use of colour in my work and often make a feature of this by using the ikat dyeing process which gives soft blends and sharp contrasts and also allows large scale motifs to be developed. Ikat frequently features in my rugs but also appears in the new range of silk scarves. As I do all my own dyeing it is possible to match or complement customer’s own colour schemes.
All pieces have been wet finished, where appropriate, so that they can be handwashed in the correct manner by the customer with safety.
The majority of my work is one off and unrepeatable but similar designs can be made. Commissions are always welcomed.
