Personal Statement
Rebecca’s work covers many disciplines, from fashion, to accessories (handbags, scarves, designer jewelry, to fine art and interior/exterior installation pieces. She works in both soft and hard materials, and thrives on their versatility.
Philosophy
The philosophy behind her work is to accessories yourself with the Art you wear, and Art that remains Art when you take it off and put it down.
Inspiration
She has traveled widely, and her designs are inspired through her memories, photographs, surroundings, and most importantly her dreams. These endlessly evolve into an innovative expression of her personal concept, conviction, or question.
The Artist
“The spark within my work is a response to creativity, ingenuity and aesthetics, bound to me by visual and emotional answers. When you step into an arena such as this, the designer has to reflect the ability to be creative, artistic, true to their materials and the ultimate maker. Artists need to return to the making process, to advance craft to a new and higher level of skill and experience.”
Outlets
Work can be purchased over the net, directly or through studio visits, and through galleries that stock her work. She welcomes commission work, and orders from Galleries, Boutiques, and Stores.
