After training for three years in Finland and one in Birmingham I moved to North Wales and set up my workshop. I draw inspiration from the spectacular surroundings of Snowdonia National Park and the natural world, working mainly with organic design, based on form rather than surface decoration. My work is rooted in the forging of silver, exploring the distortion of metal in 3-Dimensions to form pieces that are both attractive and functional; that can give pleasure on a daily basis. Silverware does not have to be too precious to be enjoyed.
Much of my work is by commission, but I also sell through exhibitions and outlets.
I also run courses in my workshop, where participants can develop their skills to design and make their own jewellery.
Work can regularly be seen at:
The Metal Gallery, Mount Street, London W1
Craft in the Bay, Cardiff Bay
Bangor Museum & Art Gallery
Hugohun, Reykjavik, Iceland
