I was born in Cardiff in 1977 and set up my workshop here, after obtaining my BA Hons in Jewellery and Silversmithing at UCE, Birmingham (graduating in 2000) and now work in precious metals, mainly sterling silver and gold. I design clean cut, elegant shapes that work well with contemporary living. My work relates to fashion yet at that same time disassociates itself from any passing phase.
I design and make a range of silver ware as well as jewellery, which leads me in new directions, resulting in unique pieces. I manipulate the silver by hand to make items such as bowls, using the hand-raising technique and then plannishing to create a dimpled surface, which gleams in the light. Most of my work is highly polished and hallmarked, although I also enjoy experimenting in different finishes and combining silver with gold.
I exhibit and sell my work through selected galleries across the country, having a permanent display at Craft in the Bay and at my own gallery/workshop in Rhiwbina, Cardiff.
