About
Living on a small holding on the outskirts of Bangor with my family I enjoy the simple ways of life. I feel very close to the dramatic and ever changing surroundings. Farming has always been apart of my life and I feel very privileged to have been brought up in this environment.
I am inspired by the ports and harbours of North Wales especially Porth Penrhyn in Bangor. The light, hustle and bustle, industry weather and colours excite me. I am especially drawn to colour which I am very passionate about which is evident in my paintings and my woven fabrics. I begin by visiting the ports to sketch and then return to my studio, where I will create paintings which are full of colour, excitement, vibrancy and texture. The colours and shapes are then translated into designs for my bespoke fabrics.
From submitting woven pieces to the Eisteddfod at the age of nine I now run a business of designing and making luxurious woven fabrics.
