ALISON MOGER

Textile designer / dylunydd Tecstil

Mandy Nash
As a textile designer I love to explore the use of traditional stitch and print with its narrative qualities. More unusual items such as metal, wire and paper are also used where relevant. My work reflects on the recycling ethos and the use of well-worn domestic textiles and vintage fabrics.
My work is innovative and contemporary and many pieces are one-offs or commissioned for individuals. I am inspired by my surroundings along with family and community life, these individual works of art hold a quirky humour and reflect on childhood, within a close community.
//
Fel dylunydd tecstiliau rydw i wrth fy modd yn archwilio’r defnydd o bwythwaith traddodiadol ac argraffu gyda nodweddion naratif. Rwy’n hoff o ddefnyddio eitemau anarferol megis metal, gwifren a phapur. Mae fy ngwaith yn adlewyrchu ethos ailgylchu a defnyddio hen decstiliau domestig a thecstiliau ‘vintage.’
Mae fy ngwaith yn arloesol a chyfoes ac mae llawer o’r darnau yn unigryw neu wedi eu comisiynnu ar gyfer unigolion. Rwy’n cael fy ysbrydoli gan yr amgylchoedd, ynghyd â bywyd teuluol a chymunedol, mae’r darnau unigol yma i fod yn cynnal hiwmor sc yn myfyrio ar fy mhlentyndod o fewn cymuned glos.
