Mae'r sefydliad yn bodoli i ennyn diddordeb ac ysbrydoli cynulleidfaoedd fel canolfan ragoriaeth ar gyfer celf a chrefft gymhwysol, ac i hyrwyddo gwneuthurwyr crefft Gymreig. Ein pwrpas craidd yw ysbrydoli, gefnogi a dathlu.

  • Cefnogi gwneuthurwyr crefft Gymreig - Mae'r Urdd yn sefydliad aelodaeth o grefftwyr Cymreig sydd oll yn rhannu ethos cydweithredol yr Urdd.
  • Dathlu rhagoriaeth crefft - Hyrwyddo celf a chrefft ymarferol o safon uchel yng Nghymru, gan ei aelodau a gan artistiaid cenedlaethol a rhyngwladol gwahoddedig.

Mae Urdd Gwneuthurwyr Cymru wedi ymrwymo'n llwyr i'w nodau elusennol, sef hyrwyddo a chadw sgiliau celf a chrefft gymhwysol, trwy gyflwyno celf a chrefft gymhwysol o'r safon uchaf i'r cyhoedd ei weld yn ei oriel, Crefft yn y Bae yng nghanol Bae Caerdydd. Mae'r Urdd wedi llwyddo i reoli a chynnal ei Amcanion Elusennol am dros 30 o flynyddoedd, sef: "Hyrwyddo addysg er budd y cyhoedd yng Nghelf a Chrefft weledol gan arddangos crefftau o ansawdd uchel a darparu rhaglenni gweithdai yn yr oriel."
