Accessibility – Craft in the Bay

Baby changing facilities
  • Baby changing facilities are in the ground floor.
Visitors with limited mobility and wheelchair and pushchair users
  • There are no steps with in gallery area
    Provisions for Blue Badge holders in Cardiff Bay are available to view on the Cardiff Council website.
  • Once inside there is wheelchair access to the gallery with level floor within the gallery itself. Staff are available nearby to help.
  • A variety of seating is available throughout the Gallery
  • An accessible toilet is situated on the ground floor
Blind and partially sighted visitors
  • All areas are well lit, and text panels are exhibits are clearly visible
Deaf and hard-of-hearing visitors
  • The Gallery and exhibits have a good standard of written material to support the exhibitions
Additional learning needs
  • If you prefer to visit when we’re less crowded, there are usually fewer people on our site from early mornings from 10am or after 4pm each day.
Dogs
  • Only assistance dogs are allowed on site.
  • Drinking water is available outside Giovanni's restaurant

Visit us by Car, Rail or Boat

Cycling
Cardiff is a very good city to cycle around (and improving all the time), we have a cycle park just outside of our building

Arriving by Vehicle
From the West:
Leave M4 at Junction 33, follow A4232 to Cardiff Bay
From the East:
Leave M4 at Junction 29; take 3rd Exit off A48; follow signs to Cardiff Bay


Parking your car
We have no parking on site but there are several options very close to the gallery.
  • Red Dragon Centre - Reasonable rates available for shorter visits.
  • Q-Park Cardiff (also known as Pierhead Street carpark)
  • Mermaid Quay
Council car parking - Provisions for Blue Badge holders are available to view on the Cardiff Council website.

Arriving by Coach or Minibus - Cardiff Council coach parking bays are available to the rear of our building on Lloyd George Avenue.
Arriving by Train  - We are a one minute walk from Cardiff Bay train station with services from Cardiff Queen Street Station running regularly.  Connections for trains from Cardiff Central Station are available from all over the UK.
Arriving by Bus - Services between Cardiff City Centre and Cardiff Bay are frequent, our nearest Cardiff Bus bus stop is 'The Flourish'
Arriving by Boat - Both Cardiff Boat and Cardiff Aquabus operates between Mermaid Quay in Cardiff Bay, Penarth (the Barrage) and Cardiff city centre.

Deliveries: If you are delivering to the gallery, follow the above directions to the gallery. There is a loading bay located at the back of the building. Please contact us prior to delivery for further details.
