DRAWING INSPIRATIONS

17 September - 6 November 2016

An exciting exhibition that looks at the relationship of drawing to an artists work.

Curated by Alex McErlain who first explored this theme in 2007 with an exhibition called 'Firing Thoughts' shown at Manchester School of Art - a ceramics focussed show, Drawing Inspirations looks at the broader field of practice and examines the myriad approaches that constitute the meaning of drawing to the artist and how their work is conceived and developed.

Artists: Christie Brown / Clare Florey-Hitchcox / Julia Griffiths-Jones / Kate Haywood / Richard Heeley / Alice Kettle / Megan Ocheduszko / Amanda Simmons / Elizabeth Turrell

A fantastic opportunity to hear Alex talk about his curation of the exhibition and his thoughts on the different approaches to drawing by our exhibiting artists.
