DUXFORD STUDIOS

jeweller / gemydd

Mandy Nash
Duxford Studios is an award winning contemporary Welsh jewellery brand, hand-crafting fine jewels inspired by life, death and the journey along the way. Each piece of wearable art is thoughtfully designed and skillfully crafted using the ancient process of lost wax casting. Instilled with an anthropological sense of human history and our inherent awareness of our time on the earth, both unique and edgy collections cherish humanity's place on this small planet and celebrate Memento Mori. Esme’s concept-driven modern heirlooms build relationships with their wearers and become a part of the  lives with which they join.
We live in a one-size-fits-all world of mass production and fast fashion. Duxford Studios is the antidote. Esme is committed to sourcing ethical materials, working with recycled precious metals wherever possible and hand selected gemstones from trusted and reputable suppliers. Each piece is expertly designed and conceptually grounded, crafted by hand and individually finished by Esme, ensuring her jewellery is of the highest quality. The nature of each hand made process means that every piece is slightly different, making them one of a kind and personal to the wearer.
//
Mae Duxford Studios yn frand gemwaith Cymreig cyfoes arobryn, sy’n gwneud gemwaith cain â llaw wedi’i ysbrydoli gan fywyd, marwolaeth a’r daith ar hyd y ffordd. Mae pob darn o gelf gwisgadwy wedi'i ddylunio'n feddylgar a'i saernïo'n fedrus gan ddefnyddio'r broses hynafol o gastio cwyr coll. Wedi'u meithrin ag ymdeimlad anthropolegol o hanes dyn a'n hymwybyddiaeth gynhenid o'n hamser ar y ddaear, mae casgliadau unigryw ac ymylol yn coleddu lle dynoliaeth ar y blaned fach hon ac yn dathlu Memento Mori. Mae etifeddion modern Esme sy’n dod o gysyniad o adeiladu perthnasoedd â’u gwisgwyr ac yn dod yn rhan o’r bywydau y maent yn ymuno â nhw.
Rydym yn byw mewn byd un maint i bawb o gynhyrchu màs a ffasiwn gyflym. Duxford Studios yw'r gwrthwenwyn. Mae Esme wedi ymrwymo i ddod o hyd i ddeunyddiau moesegol, gan weithio gyda metelau gwerthfawr wedi'u hailgylchu lle bynnag y bo modd a gemau a ddewiswyd â llaw gan gyflenwyr dibynadwy. Mae pob darn wedi'i ddylunio'n arbenigol a'i seilio'n gysyniadol, wedi'i grefftio â llaw a'i orffen yn unigol gan Esme, gan sicrhau bod ei gemwaith o'r ansawdd uchaf. Mae natur pob proses yn golygu bod pob darn ychydig yn wahanol, gan eu gwneud yn un o fath a phersonol i'r gwisgwr.
