MEET OUR MAKERS
Ned Heywood has been a professional Potter for over 30 years. He is fascinated by the physical act of forming soft plastic clay into flowing forms, which he enhances with vibrant reduction fired stoneware glazes. As an enthusiastic cook, much of his wheel-thrown ware is functional, designed for serving and cooking as well as display. He established his Chepstow workshop in 1983 and recently moved to a new location in an old pub close to the River Wye. The majority of his production is commissioned heritage ceramics, blue plaques and illustrated paving slabs for corporations, companies and civic societies throughout the UK including The City of London Corporation. Ned Heywood has been deputy Mayor and Mayor of Chepstow and co-founded the Chepstow Festival in 1988, he was awarded an MBE for his services to the community in Chepstow in the Wye Valley in the Queen's New Year's Honours list 2014.

Mae nifer o’I ddarnau yn ddarnau wedi eu comisiynu fel cerameg hen-fasiwn, placiau glas a darluniau slabiau nru balmant ar gyfer corfforaethau , cwmnïau a chymdeithasau dinesig ledled y DU gan gynnwys Corfforaeth Dinas Llundain. Mae Ned Heywood wedi bod yn ddirprwy Maer a Maer Cas-gwent a fe cyd-sefydlwyd Gŵyl Cas-gwent ym 1988 , dyfarnwyd MBE iddo am ei wasanaethau i'r gymuned yng Nghas-gwent yn Nyffryn Gwy yn rhestr Anrhydeddau'r Flwyddyn Newydd y Frenhines yn 2014. |
