SASHA KINGSTON

Paper & Textile Artist / Artist Papur & Tecstiliau

Mandy Nash
Since graduating from the Royal College of Art, Sasha has continued to develop and be inspired by the drawn mark within the process of papermaking as a material, especially the incorporation of the process of papermaking in her Art constructions.
Sasha has been developing her work inspired by Footfall. Documenting ideas through photography and drawings whilst out walking has led to her current body of work. She is particularly interested in the monochromatic colours, linear traces and marks - which have become very significant within her art pieces.

Ers graddio o’r Coleg Celf Brenhinol, mae Sasha wedi parhau i ddatblygu a chael ei hysbrydoli gan y marc tynedig o fewn y broses o ddefnyddio papur fel deunydd, yn enwedig ymgorffori’r broses o greu papur yn ei lluniadau Celf.
Mae Sasha wedi bod yn datblygu ei gwaith a ysbrydolwyd gan Footfall. Mae dogfennu syniadau trwy ffotograffiaeth a darluniau tra allan yn cerdded wedi arwain at ei chorff presennol o waith. Mae ganddi ddiddordeb arbennig yn y lliwiau monocromatig, yr olion llinellol a'r marciau - sydd wedi dod yn arwyddocaol iawn o fewn ei darnau celf.
