SIAN O`DOHERTY

Textile Designer / Dylunydd Tecstil

Mandy Nash
Sian O'Doherty is a textile designer creating unique interior and accessory products Graduating in 2012 from Carmarthenshire College with a 1st Class Honours Contemporary Textiles Degree. Sian has since set up her workshop in Pembrokeshire specialising in weaving, knitting and digital design. Her current knitted collection, created on a hand powered knitting machine, using 100% lambswool is inspired by her Welsh heritage and passion for woven structures. She designs and knits a range of unique and handmade items from scarves to cushions, hot water bottles, wrist warmers and hats. Sian’s future plans remain in Pembrokeshire, where she hopes to build her business further. She, with her partner own a number of alpacas that live on their farm where they now re-home rescue alpacas from across UK. Plans to incorporate and develop products that use their alpaca fleece are one of Sian’s future plans as well as developing her woven fabrics with the recent addition of an AVL loom to her workroom.
