JUDE TUCKER

After working as a painter for many years, it is only in the last 17 years that Jude has found renewed inspiration in three dimensional forms and discovered a natural affinity with stone. Her history as a painter is apparent in her sensitivity to her surfaces which call for them to be touched.  Her typical scale invites the caress; enticing and never intimidating.
These forms ignite the memory of the organic forms that inhabit both the ancient geological past and the tangible present.  They call to mind the life that preceded the geological formation, the rock that endured.  The beautiful and resonant forms she has uncovered cross time, creating fleeting subtle chimera.

Ar ôl gweithio fel peintiwr am nifer o flynyddoedd, dim ond yn yr 17 mlynedd diwethaf y mae Jude wedi dod o hyd i ysbrydoliaeth o'r newydd mewn ffurfiau tri dimensiwn a darganfod perthynas naturiol â charreg. Mae ei hanes fel peintiwr yn amlwg yn ei sensitifrwydd i'w harwynebau sy'n galw am eu cyffwrdd. Mae ei graddfa nodweddiadol yn gwahodd y gares; sy’n ddeniadol a byth yn fygythiol.
Mae'r ffurfiau hyn yn tanio'r cof am y ffurfiau organig sy'n byw yn y gorffennol daearegol hynafol a'r presennol diriaethol. Maen nhw'n cofio'r bywyd a ragflaenodd y ffurfiant daearegol, a’r graig a barhaodd. Mae'r ffurfiau hyfryd a soniarus y mae hi wedi'u datgelu yn dragwyddol, gan greu cimera cynnil fflyd.
