MEIC WATTS

Meic Watts is a stonecarver with a workshop in Porthmadog. He was fortunate to be an apprentice to the sculptor Jonah Jones after finishing in Norwich School of Art. Jonah introduced him to letter cutting and carving in the local slates of North Wales and various other stones. Over the years Meic has worked on public art commissions and residencies. Nature is his inspiration, walking the local beaches and mountains.

Meic is a member of The Makers Guild of Wales.

Cerfiwr cerrig ydy Meic Watts, gyda gweithdy ym Mhorthmadog. Yr oedd yn ddigon ffodus i fod yn brentis i’r cerfluniwr  Jonah Jones ar ol gorffen yng Ngholeg Celf Norwich.
