VERITY PULFORD - GARDENS OF THE MIND
31 july - 26 september 2021
Verity Pulford’s latest project Gardens of the Mind has been funded by the Arts Council of Wales and investigates the visual and physical correlation between structures and micro-structures within plant and human biology. The project was inspired by Verity’s time spent as Artist in Residence at The Walton Neurological Centre In Liverpool, as part of The Bluecoat Display Centre’s Outreach Program. The journey this project has taken Verity on has been transformational to her practice.
Influences include Ramon Cahal’s early drawings, plant collections at Bangor University Herbarium and Anna Atkins cyanotypes.
