MAKER IN FOCUS: SUE ATKINS

Ebb & Flow is a new body of applique and embroidery by textile artist Sue Atkins. Inspired by the sea shore, Sue has created her beautiful framed works in exquisite fabrics and threads. Sue's textiles reflects her personal responses to what she sees and feels, gaining much of her inspiration from holidays in Pembrokeshire and Cornwall. The sea and shore providing a rich source of ideas - the rocks, shells, plant life - their unique shapes, colours, patterns, captured in her clever and skillful use of fabrics and stitch.
